"I have been with Jeff Valler’s State Farm office for about three months, insuring my first home and car through them. When I first signed up they were responsive because I needed insurance quickly, but recently I have had serious problems with billing and a complete lack of clear communication from him and his team, especially his representative Vanessa. Last month they did not bill me at all even though I have automatic payments set up. No one told me about the missed payment until I noticed they charged me over $180 to make up for their mistake. When I asked Vanessa about this she told me, “Abby, from what I saw on the changes, you were charged for two months. I don’t see a payment taken last month which is very weird but it is still the wrong amount. The Subaru looks like it is now about $117. I talked to the regional office and they said every transaction makes a difference so unfortunately it did go up.” What she said did not address the actual issue and when I reached out again for more clarification she never responded. I ended up calling State Farm’s customer service directly and they told me about the missed bill but nothing about the rate increase. I asked them to contact my agent’s office so they could call me back, but to this day I have heard nothing from them. This morning I saw my upcoming bill for November is over $140. My rate went from $90 to $140 without any kind of explanation. Even if the missed billing was not directly their fault it is still their job to explain any changes in my rate, especially one this high. The only change during this time was that my Subaru was in the shop, so I temporarily switched the insurance to a car my husband was borrowing. Vanessa said it was fine and never mentioned that this would change the rate. After about two weeks I switched it back to my Subaru and continued using Drive Safe and Save. There is no reason my rate should have changed this much. I feel like I have fallen through the cracks since there are not really any negative reviews for this office, but I should not have to constantly chase someone to do their job. This whole situation has been unprofessional and poorly handled. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I hope they see this and finally reach out. I will be switching to a different insurance provider that values their customers."

"I was with a different agent with State Farm and after having a brief discussion with Cassie about an auto accident I was in and how the claim was being handled I quickly realized I was with the wrong agent as Cassie not only was willing to speak to the auto body shop but the claim department where my other agent didn’t want to. Within 48 hours of moving to Cassie she had spoken to the adjuster and the body shop and my car that had over $27k damage and at 78% of value was finally totaled. Cassie also looked over our home owner policy, auto policy, and trailer policy and identified areas of savings and areas that were incorrect that could have been a huge error if we had a home claim. Cassie is knowledgeable and customer service oriented which has been amazing to have. If you are looking for an agent, look no further than Cassie."
